The municipality of Erpeldange-sur-Sûre belongs to the canton of Diekirch and is an integral part of the "Nordstad" urban area, which is set to become the new capital of the north of the country. It comprises three towns: Erpeldange-sur-Sûre, Ingeldorf and Burden.

The development is easily accessible from the national road network, N27, via Rue Porte des Ardennes and Rue Laduno, and offers excellent public transport connections.

The Ettelbrück railway station, around 1.5 km from the development, is served by trains that link Luxembourg City with Nordstad and the north of the country (Troisvierges and Wiltz), as far as Gouvy in Belgium.
